11 Non-Diet Goals To Focus On

A diet can be disguised as many ways… and it’s easy to get caught up in them. Especially when you see claims of overnight “success” and promised “happiness” that comes with the results of eating a certain way. As we know, anything that tells you to eat during a certain time frame (our thoughts on intermittent fasting here) , restrict foods, or has “rules” to follow… it  would be a good idea to steer clear. 

However, we know it  feels good to have guidance, set a goal, and crush it.  So we want to provide you healthier goals to set your sights on that will allow  you to still feel amazing, but won’t lead to rebelling against diet rules. 

Here are 11 goals you can focus on that are NOT a diet:

  1. Eat one meal a day without distractions

  2. Start the day with a sweat

  3. Drink x amount of water (try for half your body weight in ounces! Not exact, but a great place to start)

  4. Check in with your hunger before each meal

  5. Check in with your fullness at end of each meal

  6. Start therapy for first time. (my experience, here!)

  7. Start to journal daily

  8. Track how you feel about food

  9. Meet with a dietitian or certified intuitive eating counselor

  10. Commit to a healthier body image and more self love

  11. Hire personal trainer and reach a new fitness goal like getting super strong (not losing a certain amount of weight!)

By focusing on one, or all of these 11 goals, we can almost  guarantee you will:

  • Feel more confident

  • Have a better connection to your body, and it’s needs

  • Will fall in love with endorphins

  • Will create a healthier relationship with food

  • Realize how important it is to rest

  • Will feel more fulfilled

  • Will ultimately be healthier-  physically, mentally, emotionally

You deserve to be in unison with your body.  You can take control, without controlling food. You can be healthy without a diet. You’ve got this, girl!
